Not busy on Saturday night?  Come out and watch some late night football, really late night, midnight to be exact!  Mauldin will compete in  Midnight Madness Football at Sirrine Stadium (Greenville High) this Saturday, June 1st at Midnight!

MAVS wide receiver Sean Wright has signed his National letter of intent to play football for North Greenville University.

Drae Moore will compete for Georgia Military College in Football next year  in Milledgeville, Georgia.

Junior Josh Mckie has verbally committed to play Football for the University of North Carolina in the Fall of 2009.  Josh was the 2008 Offensive Player of the Year for MHS Football and an All Region Player.   More about Josh here.

Twelve Football Players Qualify for State Weightlifting Meet

FOOTBALL BANQUET INFORMATION
The dinner will be Wednesday, November 28 at 6:15 with the awards presentation to follow at 7:30. 
The cost if $15.00 (includes your meal and helps to cover the free player meals and coach/senior gifts.) 
If you would like to attend, you must return the form AND money to me by Sunday Nov. 25 so that we can give Mutt's BBQ an accurate headcount and payment. 
No money will be taken the night of the dinner. Please make your check payable to Paula Shaw and mail to me at 139 Circle Slope Drive, Simpsonville, SC  29681.

This Wednesday, October 31, will be the seniors' last afternoon practice as Mavs players.  To honor them, we'd like to continue a tradition that was well-received last year. 
 
Family and friends of MAVS football are invited to line the drive (on both sides) from the lower practice field to the stadium on Wednesday, October 31.  Arrive between 6:15 and 6:30 p.m.  Coach Shaw will release everyone but the seniors so that all players can participate.  These boys will then join us as we line the driveway.  When Coach Shaw is finished talking with them, the seniors will head up toward the building and walk through the crowd as we applaud them and their hard work over the years.
 
Come show your support for the seniors as they make that long walk uphill one last time!
