MAVS D-Team 6-0!!

Mauldin faced the Travelers Rest DevilDogs Tuesday night and the Dogs came ready to play.  TR took the opening kickoff and methodically marched up and down the field in the first half keeping the potent Mauldin offense on the sidelines.  TR scored 2 TD's in the first half and held the Mavs to just 6 offensive plays before the break.

The Mavericks woke up in the second half on both sides of the ball.  Mauldin's first 3 offensive plays in the 3rd quarter resulted in 3 TD's.  The Mav's defense also stepped up and held the DevilDogs to just one TD in the second half.

The Maverick offense added 2 more scores in the 4th quarter to put the game away with a 34-18 come from behind victory!

Jason Branham-King finished the night with 154 yards and 3 TD's.  James Snipes and Cam'ron Jackson each added a TD as well.  Snipes also led the defense once again with 19 tackles on the night.

Mauldin will take a 6-0 record into their final contest of the season next week against the 7-0 Greer Yellowjackets.  This will be the unofficial D-Team Championship Game.  Go support your Mauldin Mavericks next week at Dooley Field in Greer.  Go MAVS!!
